BROWN BUTTER LEMON CHICKEN RECIPE
Hi Loves, Happy Saturday! I know… a post on a Saturday. Hey nothing wrong with mixing things up from time to time. Well the truth is, I wanted to put this brown butter lemon chicken post up last night but alas, this girl is still learning about the woes that is You Tube. I kid you not, the You Tube video that accompanies this post started uploading last night at 7:30 p.m. No lie, it didn’t finish uploading till 7 this morning (input emoji with eyes wide open and the hands on the face…well you could input the red face mad emoji too). Like OMG what am I gonna do guys?! So frustrating, but there is so much to learn about You Tube so please bear with me as I work on growing on that new digital platform. So without further ado here is the recipe and video for this yummy lemon based chicken.
- ½ cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup chicken stock
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 3-4 Chicken Breasts
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- Salt + Pepper
- Salt +Pepper to taste both sides of the chicken breast. Next, coat both sides of the chicken with the flour. In a sauté pan, melt the butter on med-high heat. Brown both sides of the chicken until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Next in the same pan, add the chicken stock, squeeze the juice of 2 lemons (you can add the juice of one more if you really like lemon flavor) and add the brown sugar. Cook for a minute and then add back in the chicken and cook for another 3-4 more minutes turning the chicken once and spooning the lemon gravy over the chicken in the process. Remove and serve hot.
